A WILD LIFE

The story of Chester and Arthur is one of perfect synchronicity. When the characters meet, it sparks a journey of remembrance, acceptance, and growth. As a director, I aimed to capture the beauty in simple things, setting the story in Snowdonia National Park to emphasise the characters' impact on each other. Though at different stages in life, their shared grief and loneliness mirror one another, and by helping each other, they heal themselves. My goal was to immerse the audience so deeply in their journey that time felt suspended. The film’s naturalistic approach—lush landscapes, handheld shots, and natural light—evokes mindfulness, reflecting on love and a life worth living. Ultimately, I wanted to offer hope for connection in a sometimes overwhelming world.
